About Coach Ben
With over 25 years of elite ski-racing coaching experience, Ben has built a reputation as one of the region’s most respected alpine coaches. He spent 18 years at Mount Snow Training Center and Mount Snow Academy, serving most of that time as Head Alpine Coach, where he developed athletes who went on to excel at the regional, national, and international levels.

For the past nine years at Berkshire East, Ben has served as Race Program Director, leading a program recognized for its technical excellence and athlete development. Over the course of his career, he has coached racers at every stage—from Interclub and USSS athletes to Collegiate competitors—instilling in each skier a strong foundation of skill, discipline, and confidence.

Ben’s coaching philosophy emphasizes effort, accountability, and purposeful training, focusing on building exceptional fundamentals as the key to long-term success. His reach as a coach has been global, running and participating in elite training camps across North America, South America, Europe, and New Zealand.

He has guided numerous junior athletes to regional titles and international podiums, including qualifiers and medalists at prestigious events such as Topolino (Italy) and the Whistler Cup (Canada).

When not on snow, Ben lives in southern Vermont with his wife and three young sons, and can often be found mountain biking, paddleboarding, hiking, camping, sailing, and traveling—always embracing the outdoors.
