Welcome to Charlemont Mountain Academy

At Charlemont Mountain Academy (CMA), we are excited to welcome student-athletes who share a passion for ski racing, academic growth, and outdoor adventure. Our admissions process is designed to help families understand how CMA’s unique academic-athletic-wellness model supports their child’s development both on the mountain and in the classroom.

Who We Serve

CMA’s programs are designed for:

• U12 and U14 athletes (ages typically 10–14) seeking competitive alpine ski racing.

• Younger athletes (ages 6–9) beginning their journey into ski racing.

• Students motivated to balance training, competition, and academics.

• For families seeking a one-day Friday program that builds ski-racing skills without pulling students out of their regular school.

 

Program Options

• Full Week Academy Program: Ski + Academics
  A complete academy experience for student-athletes

• Ski-Only Full Week Academy Experience
  A dedicated on-snow academy experience for aspiring athletes. This option is ideal for families who homeschool or use their own online academic platform and therefore don’t require CMA’s academic services.

• Friday – Performance Program (U12–U14)
  Purposeful training for busy student-athletes

• Friday Development Program (Ages 6–9)
  Where fun meets fundamentals. An introduction to ski racing for younger athletes (ages 6–9)

Key Details

• Season: Beginning of December through late March (Winter 2025–26)

• Venue: Berkshire East Mountain Resort, with professional-grade training terrain and race facilities

• Academics (Full Program): Hybrid learning through Apex Learning, aligned with Massachusetts Core Curriculum Standards and each athlete’s home-district curriculum

• Schedule:

  • 5-day-per-week on-snow training (optional 6th day for added development)

  • Friday-only options for performance and development athletes
     

Admissions Timeline

1. Application Opens: October 8th

2. Priority Application Deadline: Novemeber 15th

3. Rolling Admissions: Applications accepted as space allows after the priority deadline

4. Program Start: Early December

2. Tell Us About Your Athlete – A short student statement about their ski experience and goals.

3. Meet the Team – We’ll schedule a quick virtual or in-person meeting to get to know your family.

4. Receive Your Enrollment Packet – Accepted families will get program details, tuition info, and next steps.

Tuition 

At CMA, tuition reflects the high quality of coaching, academic support, and access to premier training facilities that our programs provide. We offer transparent program-specific tuition rates for the Full Academy (Ski + Academics), Ski-Only Academy, Friday Performance, and Friday Development programs. Payment plan options are available to help families manage costs.
